On the eastern edge of Andalucia lies the province of Almeria. It takes it's name from it's capital city which lies on the southern coast of Spain. The Port of Almería is 3 kilometres from exit 438 on the E15/N340 'Mediterranean Highway', which links Barcelona with Malaga, via Valencia, Alicante and Almería. The exit is clearly signposted 'Puerto'. This access to the freight port cuts out the city of Almería.
