Ceuta is a Spanish enclave on the northern tip of mainland Morocco, located on the entrance to the Straits of Gibraltar. Ceuta, along with Melilla is one of the two long estabilished Spanish territories remaining in mainland Africa. The port of Ceuta is a busy port built around a fine natural harbour, there are daily ferry services mostly arriving from Algeciras, mainland Spain. Until 1986 Ceuta was a free port but it is now part of the European Union and is in a special low tax zone of Spain.
