There is a daily connection with ferries carrying a combination of both passenger and freight traffic. Ferry services are also available from Heraklion to other Aegean Sea islands such as Santorini, Ios, Paros and Mykonos although some of these services will be operated by smaller fast crafts which are unable to accept larger freight vehicles.
