The port is one of the major European cargo ports and is the only port in Italy to benefit from a river port providing freight transport by barge. Getting to Venice Ferry Port by road

The freight port is situated at the exit of the Ponte della Liberta. For the Marittima area, exit at the first set of traffic lights, or exit at the second set of lights if you are headed towards the S. Basilio port area.
